The year was 1963 when the strong passion for mechanics pushed Martino Cavazza and Arturo Berni, both of Mantuan origin, to found AR.MA Sdf. The first location was a small garage of 70 m2 in Via Porrettana, Località Funivia, where the two “intrepid” entrepreneurs began, alone, to carry out mechanical machining for third parties for the most important Bolognese industries, using the first traditional machine tools. Never satisfied with their work and taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the market, they decided, a few years later, to start the design and production of the first Variable Displacement Vane Pumps.

L‘positive performance of the new business led, in a short time, on the one hand to the change of the company name from AR.MA to BERARMA Srl (24 January 1970), and on the other to the transfer to a new company headquarters, still used today, characterized by spaces larger and more functional – for a total of 2.000 m2 – located in the industrial area of ​​Via Parini 9 in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna). In more than 50 years since its birth Berarma has achieved high technological know-how becoming a dynamic and modern company of hydraulic pumps with a brand recognized all over the world.. The philosophy of the founder and current CEO, Martino Cavazza, has always been continuous research in technological innovation, combined with the maxim attention to customer needs.

A NEW FAMILY OF PRODUCTS

Un strict internal quality control and process management system (Company certified according to ISO 9001), together with the use of machine tools of the highest technological level and a rigorous testing on all components, allow Berarma to guarantee a high quality standard for all its production of hydraulic pumps. Un modern Research & Development department works to improve Berarma products, adapting them to the most modern technological standards required by the market. This activity led to the creation of a new family of variable displacement vane pumps, called PHP, for high pressure (250 bar). This new series of pumps, together with the hydraulic pumps Berarma – types PLP and PHPK – and to the motor pump groups – type GMP (group consisting of a Berarma pump and a special flanged electric motor for direct motion transmission) -, have been designed to obtain the following characteristics:

• Maximum Silence;
• High Yield and Long Life;
• Economics and Simplification of Hydraulic Systems;
• Modularity and Flexibility to meet the different needs of users: a common pump body for each individual size on which you can assemble the various types of pressure-flow control, mount the Non-Return Flange Valves type NRV produced by Berarma, and several pumps together (solution of Hydraulic pumps Combine).
