Famas System SPA has been operating since 1985 in the design and implementation of territorial monitoring systems, specializing in the sectors of traffic monitoring, transport and mobility in general (ITS), as well as hydro-meteorology and air pollution. About 25% of the staff is permanently engaged in the development and design of new products and systems, underlining the highly innovative character of the company and which allows it to be at the forefront of the national and international market.
Famas System has its headquarters in Egna in the Province of Bolzano, an operational branch in Anzola dell’Emilia (BO) and commercial offices in Rome and Naples.
Among the leading technological solutions developed by Famas System you can find systems and products for the automatic detection and classification of traffic flows, for the early warning of ice formation on the road surface, as well as advanced software platforms for data collection and management as well as specific software for urban and extra-urban mobility management operating centers or winter maintenance management of road networks. This sector also includes systems for assisting driving in conditions of poor visibility and for managing road traffic safety.
In the meteorological sector Famas System SpA develops and manufactures sensors for hydro-meteorological data detection, designs and builds hydro-meteorological monitoring networks of primary importance at national level, a sector where it has already built systems for important hydrographic services.
Another sector of Famas System SpA’s activity is environmental monitoring. In this sector Famas System SpA has specialized in the design, construction and maintenance of gas control systems emitted into the atmosphere by vehicular traffic in urban and extra-urban areas.
