IMT, in the figure of its founder, Mr. Giulio Accorroni, has boasted an important record in the drilling industry: having revolutionized the sector byinventing the first completely hydraulic system way back in 1958, when earthmoving machines still provided exclusively traditional mechanical systems. Starting from this great discovery, IMT continued to create increasingly innovative drilling machines, creating the first telescopic barwith an interlocking system.
Its products have a winch, around which the rope used for moving the casing pipes, assembling or replacing the drilling tool is wrapped. Our team of CELMI professionals collaborated with IMT technicians, providing them with the model 296A traction load cell, which was able to respond to IMT’s need to carefully monitor the traction on the ropes during winding and execution, thus preventing breakages and potentially dangerous accidents.
Its waterproof construction, in stainless steel and welded with micro-plasma, ensures durability and reliability, while the ATEX certification confirms its safety in potentially explosive environments, demonstrating once again how Celmi is synonymous with innovation and safety.
Together with the tensile load cell, the CELMI group also supplied IMT with the T-Dasc instrument, a digital weight transmitter with analogue and MODBUS output, which represented another key for IMT in controlling the load during winding and unwinding the rope in theirdrilling machines.
This device not only accurately transmits weight data from one or more load cells, but also offers the possibility of serial connections for advanced weighing management or integration with external systems for continuous monitoring.
