FACMA S.r.l.
FACMA S.r.l. deals with the design, construction and sale of agricultural machinery for working the soil, for the mechanized harvesting of nuts from the ground, for drying, cleaning, sorting and storage of woody shell products. You can find us in Vitorchiano (Viterbo), in our factory consisting of a covered part of 5000 square meters and a surrounding area of about 1 hectare.
FACMA was founded in 1971, developing in the Viterbo area for its characteristic cultivation of hazelnuts and chestnuts. In the same year Marcello Bellachioma, then a mechanical worker, together with his brother Renzo, revolutionized hazelnut harvesting by introducing mechanization with the first harvesting machine.
Marcello and Renzo, supported by the experience of the Aquilanti company, began manufacturing the machine called Cimina in their Bellachioma Marcello & Co. mechanical workshop. This worked thanks to the principle of suction of the product from the ground, which, once inside, was separated from impurities and conveyed into bags.
This system inspired later models of harvesters.
We pursue an idea of modern and specialized agriculture, proposing a mechanization close to the needs of farmers. The agricultural machines we design are tested in the farms owned by the owners (hazelnut groves in the province of Viterbo and Rome, Chile and Romania) until the desired yields are obtained.
The values underlying our corporate culture certainly include respect for the environment. In fact, all the machines introduced never upset the natural balance, on the contrary they perfectly meet the needs of organic farms.
