Founded in 1961, IMA is a world leader in the design and manufacture of automatic machines for the processing and packaging of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, tea and coffee.  

A leadership acquired thanks to significant investments in research and development, a constant and constructive dialogue with the end-users of the reference sectors, the ability of the Group to internationalize and conquer new markets. Its history is in fact characterized by constant growth. The Group has closed financial year 2015 with consolidated revenues exceeding one billion, equal to 1.109,5 million euros (+ 29,8% compared to 2014) and one export share equal to about 90%.

The Group chaired by Alberto Vacchi it counts further 5.000 employees, of which over 2.600 abroad, and is present in about 80 countries, supported by a commercial network composed of 29 branches with sales and assistance services in Italy, France, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Spain, Poland, Israel, Russia, United States, India, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Brazil, representative offices in Central and Eastern Europe and more than 50 agencies.

The Group makes use of 38 manufacturing plants between Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, India, Malaysia and China.

IMA S.p.a. has been listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 1995 and entered the STAR segment in 2001.

The IMA Group owns over 1.400 patents and active patent applications worldwide, has over 500 designers committed to product innovation and has launched numerous new machine models in recent years.
