Although the beginning of our history dates back to 1878, the current brand ITB Industrie Tessili Bresciane was registered in 1918 at the Brescia Chamber of Commerce, at that time one of the most active and rapidly expanding textile districts in Italy. In 1962, the company moved to Merone (Como) to a new and larger factory, where it still operates today.
Over the decades, ITB has served numerous industries and supplied thousands of customers around the world with a wide range of textile products, specializing in the last 60 years in the production of seamless felts and tapes which have long been recognized internationally as the gold standard in terms of quality and performance.
Organized in three different divisions, Industrial, Textile and Batteries, ITB makes use of an innovative Research and Development center, a state-of-the-art laboratory and a production department composed of modern and partly historical machinery but irreplaceable for particular processes, where a young and motivated team operates following strict Lean methodologies.
Respecting the environment and the community, the mission of ITB it is, and always will be, that of a constant commitment to product quality and customer satisfaction. These values contributed to the acquisition of ITB Brescian Textile Industries by the Heimbach group in 2008, as part of a strategic expansion of the Technical Textile segment of the German multinational.
