The PARPAS Group was founded in 1951 with the PARPAS company. Initially he dedicated himself to the design and construction of pantographic machine tools and subsequently to copying. Over the years, accumulating experience in the sector, his ambitions grow and he begins to devote himself to the production of numerically controlled milling machines. Currently PARPAS, world market leader in the milling and copying of large-sized molds, produces a line of medium-large milling machines at the top of technology. Given the initial success, in 1969, the owners decided to set up OMV – Officine Meccaniche Venete which, starting from 1972, entered the market with a line of small-medium size machine tools. Originally the proposed range is that of cantilever milling machines, later, in 1974, it is mainly oriented to the production of machine tools based on a fixed bench and mobile column structure, among other things the first with this particular peculiarity to be built by an Italian company. Today OMV is engaged in the production of high-speed machines that boast, in addition to the processing speed, the same precision and flexibility that has always characterized its production. The salient feature of the PARPAS Group is that of building “made-to-measure” machine tools, for which to design and produce machines based on precise customer specifications, a feature that is now well established and recognized worldwide even by customers with prestigious names.
