Shell ltalia E&P is part of Royal Dutch Shell plc, a global energy company with around 84,000 employees in more than 70 countries, with expertise in the exploration, production, refining and marketing of oil and natural gas, and the manufacturing and marketing of chemicals.
The group uses advanced technologies and take an innovative approach to help build a sustainable energy future. In Italy since 1912, Shell is currently present with oil and gas exploration and production, business-to-business sales of natural gas, production and marketing of lubricants as well as a joint-venture in the chemicals additives.
Activities comprise also global technical partnerships with Ferrari and Ducati Corse. Shell Italia E&P, present in Italy since 2002, it is the main foreign company in the upstream sector.
Activities are currently located in Basilicata as partner of the Val d’Agri and Tempa Rossa projects.
The Val D’Agri field, in joint-venture and operated by Eni, is one of the major onshore oil field in continental Europe; the Tempa Rossa project, in the Sauro Valley, is developed in joint-venture with Mitsui and the operator Total E&P Italia. Shell Italia E&P has also interests in the onshore exploration in country.
