Silmax produces a wide range of cutters for machining metals and light alloys, for roughing, semi-finishing and finishing. Standard execution (according to UNI ISO and DIN regulations) and special according to customer specifications built in solid carbide, Super Rapid Powder Metal and HSS Co.
To continually increase the body of knowledge, Silmax uses a Research and Development center within it, undertaking experimental and theoretical work to acquire new knowledge on the phenomena of cutting materials. Subsequently, works are carried out in order to acquire new knowledge on practical applications of tools, on new geometries, on new materials for tools and on new coatings in order to also be able to offer the customer a pre and post sales technical assistance service. In fact, Silmax is concentrating its actions on high-tech products for specific applications, such as HPC, HRC, Colourmills and Micro.
