Skorpion keyed lock safety device for photoelectric barriers: optimal protection in protected work areas
The Skorpion safety device for photoelectric barriers with a trapped key system is the perfect choice for enhancing safety during maintenance operations in protected environments. Designed for retrofit installation, this innovative device provides a secure locking function that can be easily integrated with all compatible photoelectric barriers.
Benefits and Features
Secure and Reliable Locking:
Once correctly installed, the Skorpion device prevents the accidental restart of the photoelectric barrier, ensuring maximum protection during maintenance operations.
Enhanced Safety:
Integration with the Skorpion trapped key interlock system provides additional protection against unauthorized activation, minimizing the risk of accidents.
Dual Locking Function:
Allows the use of an 8 mm padlock both in operational and locked mode, offering multi-level protection against unauthorized access.
Why choose a locking device for photoelectric barriers?
A locking system is essential to ensure operator safety during maintenance operations by preventing accidental activation that could cause damage or injury. Moreover, compatibility with a trapped key system guarantees that only authorized personnel can access or intervene on the machinery.
Key features
Easy and Quick Installation:
The integrated mounting plate allows for simple installation without complex modifications.
Personal Key:
Each device comes with a unique key to prevent unwanted activations during maintenance work.
Additional Protection:
Padlocks or safety hasps can be used for an extra level of protection against unauthorized tampering.
Strength and Durability:
Made of stainless steel, this device is resistant even in harsh working environments, ensuring long-lasting reliability.
Versatile Installation:
Suitable for various machine configurations thanks to adjustable mounting brackets and orientation options.
Operation
The LCB (Light Curtain Blocking) device provides total protection. By rotating the key 90 degrees from the horizontal position, the locking system disables the photoelectric barrier, completely stopping the machine. Once the blocking device is removed, the plate remains fixed in position, preventing any unauthorized movement. An additional safety level can be achieved by inserting a padlock through the safety hasp.
To restore normal operation, simply reinsert the key, rotate it 90 degrees, and the plate retracts, re-enabling the photoelectric barrier. The device is designed to ensure that only authorized personnel can reactivate the machine, preventing tampering.
